But it is hard to beat the taste oi a Blue Moon beer, regardless of the variety. Depending on who I’m hanging with I’ll drink any of them but something about coors light I really dislike, sometimes after just 1–2 of them I’ll develop a headache so I try to avoid those. I haven’t had Miller light in quite sometime but I would drink those without a problem. Long story short, I enjoy bud light. Even if they are trying to take over the beer industry I’ll still buy once and awhile. I’d drink it if I was really in need of the liquid.
Most of the really large breweries will cut corners in the name of consistency. Rather than real hops and malt they’ll use oils and extracts. While this does mean that two batches brewed in completely different places will taste identical, it impacts the flavor and character of the final product. You can only brew beer by boiling it. When you lager it in fermentation tanks afterward, they can be chilled to somewhere near the freeing point. Which helps strip the beer of any possible flavor.
